Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  It is my privilege and honor to serve as Principal at Los Molinos Elementary School.  I come to Hacienda La Puente Unified School District with a broad base of knowledge working in the field of education for over twenty years. My experience includes serving as a teacher in grades Kindergarten to 6th, resource   teacher at a middle school, and elementary school principal. My passion is working with students to ensure that they all have a high quality education and maintain a love for school.

I'm excited about all the great things we have in store for the year.  With our growing student population, we have added a second Transitional Kindergarten class. Additionally, we will continue with our fabulous piano keyboarding class- providing free piano keyboarding lessons for our students in select grades. It is with great pleasure to highlight that our school's statewide CAASPP assessment results continue to soar as we strive to provide a "World Class" education for all our students. It is evident that at Los Molinos we are committed to aligning lessons to Common Core Standards, the 4 Cs (Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, and Critical Thinking), and 21st century learning. Our high quality, excellence in education is evidenced by our National Blue Ribbon, California Gold Ribbon, and Distinguished School status. My vision is for our school to continue to pave the way to excellence to equip students with tools for a bright future.

Everything is possible with a Professional Learning Community, which includes everyone such as our dedicated teachers, caring staff, and our amazing parents. I encourage Parent Partnerships in assisting students in the classroom, meeting attendance, conferences, family events, PTA functions, and at home.  We have a strong PTA which is the foundation for our many Programs and Activities such as our Fall Festival, Holiday Extravaganza, Book Fairs, Father-Son, Mother-Daughter events and much more. This type of involvement and collaboration is what makes Los Molinos special, and we are lucky to have such great people!

I look forward to getting to know all of you and your families this year.  My door is always open and I welcome your comments, suggestions, and compliments.

Go Wildcats!
